GREEN GUIDED RIDE 10-29-11
« on: September 29, 2011, 09:25:00 AM »
Rausch Creek is hosting a GREEN guided ride on Saturday Oct 29, 2011.

This ride is geared towards stock or slightly modified 4 wheel drive vehicles. (Please see "rules and regulations" on the mainpage for minimum requirements). This ride will require a minimum of 5 attendees/vehicles and be limited to a maximum of ten vehicles that are pre-registered. If the minimum number of vehicles is not met, the ride will be postponed, and fees refunded.

FEES:

Driver w/membership $60
Driver w/o park membership $75
Passengers w/membership $7
Passengers w/o park membership $15

ITINERARY:
Be at park 9:00 a.m. to get checked-in. Ready to hit the trails at 9:30. Back at the parking lot by 4:00 p.m. Pack a lunch and top off your tank prior to getting to the park.

HOW TO SIGN UP:
Pre-payment of the driver/vehicle is required (passengers can pay the morning of the ride). If you cancel with at least a week’s notice, you will receive a refund. This ride will go as planned unless there is extreme weather sufficient to close the highways or the minimum number of vehicles is not met (in which case the ride will be rescheduled).

Contact Lynn (lynn@rc4x4.org or at 570-640-0194) to secure your spot. Payment arrangements can be made w/ credit card or check.

Would a bone stock patriot be suited for this??? and also, I read somewhere else that their is some sort of classroom type learning... I would most likely be bringing my 8 year old daughter, just wondering if the classroom thing is going to take place...

The class room stuff is usualy for the 101 classes that Kyle does.  This is an all day ride in the park.

Yes the classroom stuff is for the 101.  This is just an all day trail ride and any "teaching" will be done on the trail.  This ride is geared towards the stock vehicle like your Patroit.

I'm signed up (stocko taco). As is my friend with a near-stock 4Runner.

I did the green guided (with Mike) in June (first time to RC), and it was AWESOME. Hoping for some great fall weather.

Sounds like we should have enough vehicles then for the ride.  Group is sounding pretty varied so it should make for a good/interesting day.

Hey, I tried to email Lynn and reserve my spot but my email got kicked back undeliverable.  I left her a VM, but if I don't hear from her - I'll still be there Saturday.

She will get back to you.  She has a regular job through the week so just give her a bit.  Glad to see the ride starting to fill up.

During these green rides are there opportunities to get on the rocks and more technical stuff?  I've never been yet.  My rig is moderately modified.

Depends on what vehicles we get and such.  Not really sure what we will run till I get there and see what we have.  I usually try to find somewhere for more built vehicles to play a little.

I'm pretty sure I'm coming up late friday night.  Ride all day saturday.  I might have one other jeep with me, fairly modified.  Can I pay when I arrive, or are there any spots left?

You need to pre-register. The green ride is just about full, while the blue group needs a couple more.   If your vehicles are modified, sign up for that one.
