Are aftermarket axle housings allowed for the rear axle upgrade?

i.e. if I upgrade to a Toyota axle in the rear of a jeep, do I have to run the stock housing or can I use a commercially available axle housing en lieu of the stock housing?

----------------------------------
All factory rear axles allowed for that vehicle (I.E. Ford Bronco can run a 9-inch).  The following REAR axles upgrades are allowed:   8.8, Dana 44, Toyota, Dana35, AMC 20, Chrysler 8.25, Ford 9", Chevy 12 bolt.

I know the rules are right here but just a heads up (maybe you already know this) but I get an error when I try to go to the rules page for each of the classes on the RCrocs.com website.

I see all the class specifications here but is there also a list of safety rules that everyone must meet?

Class 1 question. If running a YJ and you have a d30 in the front a D44 in the rear. In the rear you run a Powerlock which is a posi unit and up front run a ARB can you lock and unlock the ARB while on the coarse for steering? I also have a driver question. My son Matt will probably never have his driver license due to his CP. Can he be a driver?

yes you can lock and unlock the ARB as long as it is your only locker.  As for the no lisence driver thing that is better left to the powers to be to answer.

I am pretty sure this came up last year and the park's insurance requires all drivers to have a valid drivers license while on park property, which blew out a lot of "children of wheelers" from being able to compete.  Lord Bruce would be the one to ask, but you might want to wait until after the RCQ is over to avoid his head exploding :yim_doh:

There is no rush for a answer. It was just something Matt and I talked about at dinner Saturday night and I thought it was a neat idea if we could make it happen. All we can do is try.

Yes to all of the above and the driver should be able to reach at least one of the extinguishers (ask Gene about that)
